The Eagles Athletic Association, through the Eagles Select Softball Program has made a strong commitment to the young softball players in Zionsville. In conjunction with the Zionsville Little League, the Eagles Select program provides a competitive and development focused environment to grow the young ladies in our program as young people and softball players through these core principles.

The Eagles Select Program offers great developmental opportunities for the young ladies in the program through professional instruction, structured and targeted training, increased competitive opportunities and a dedicated indoor training facility.

Beginning at 8U, players will be placed onto teams based on both subjective and objective evaluation data in order to field the most competitive-appropriate teams.

Eagles Select Green – will field our most competitive team, playing in the most competitive tournaments/doubleheaders and involve the highest commitment level.

Eagles Select Silver – will field our next most competitive team, playing in competitive-appropriate tournaments/doubleheaders.

Bri Wagner, Hitting & Fielding
Bri is currently an assistant for the High School program and is a former Lady Eagle Softball player herself.  After graduating, Bri went on to play college softball before returning to Zionsville to help develop softball in Zionsville.  Eagles Select Softball is thrilled to have Bri on staff and closely relate the development of our players to that of the high school team.

Taylor Roeder, Advanced Pitching
Taylor  is glad to join the team as Pitching Coach. She most recently served as Head Coach for Zionsville West Middle School. In her collegiate career at Valparaiso University, Taylor (Weissenhofer) led the Crusaders twice to the NCAA tournament, winning the Horizon League two times along the way. Along with many single-season records still standing, including 234 strikeouts in one season, Taylor is the all-time leader in pitching appearances and strikeouts for Valpo. She and her husband live on the northwest side of Indy with their two dogs.

Ashley Alexander, Beginning Pitching
Ashley was a Varsity softball player at Morton West High School in Berwyn Illinois. After Graduating in 2006, she went on to play for Triton College in River Forest Illinois. She served as a private pitching instructor for 3 years in Cicero, Illinois. After moving to Zionsville in 2010, she began volunteering with ZLL in 2012 as an assistant coach on her son’s teams. In 2015, she joined the Little League Board as the Player Agent, and in 2016 began to conduct private lessons and assist as a pitching coach within the Showcase program.

Bailee Newton, Catching
Bailee is a former ZLL and ZCHS varsity softball player. She graduated from Zionsville in 2009 and returned home after earning her teaching degree from ISU. She is now a math teacher at ZMS and is headed into her 7th year as the ZMS Head Softball Coach. She is extremely passionate about this sport and is excited to help develop not only skills for these players but their love and passion for it!
